Our Service Guarantee
 

We make every attempt to ensure that you are satisfied with your experience at Stephen William Hair. In the event that you are not completely satisfied, please let us know at the time of your service or within 48 hours after your service has been performed. 

Refunds

As is customary in many salons, services and deposits are non-refundable but we will be more than happy to schedule a corrective service free of charge. If the appointment time for a deposit paid no longer suits, this will naturally be rescheduled for a mutually agreeable time.

The service must be a mistake from the service provider... not something you might have changed your mind (after the service has been performed).  In case of a disagreement,  You have 48 hours to contact the Stephen William Hair to receive a complimentary service to adjust any dissatisfaction.  Corrective services will not be allowed 48 hours past initial service date.

It is important you contact us as soon as you are unhappy so we can schedule you As Soon As Possible for a corrective service. 

Please keep in mind, using box colour or going from darker to lighter tones may result in more than one service to achieve your desired result. Please see Transparency form.

If Stephen requires to move or change the appointment due to sickness, training date changes etc., deposits are STILL non-refundable. This is not to be greedy but hair expenses are huge and make up over 50% of expenses, these are constantly required for ordering ahead of time, therefore cash flow is essential. Deposits are therefore used in preparation of the month ahead at least. By agreeing to book you agree to forego your deposit should this need to be rearranged. A deposit will always be applied to another service but is only valid for 6 months. After this time a new deposit will be required to book a service.

Similarly, if a manual booking is made by Stephen for a client and a deposit was not paid, this will be required before a new service and new deposit is scheduled. Again, whether the client cancelled within 48 hours (even if this was cancelled because Stephen required to move the appointment due to sickness etc.). The same principles around cash flow apply. This stock for this appointment was considered ahead of time. So this is to ensure Stephen is not at a loss for stock cost, as well as a loss of profit. If it is more than 48 hours this will not apply and the appointment can be cancelled without foregoing a deposit.

Right to Refuse Service

Stephen William Hair reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at any time for any reason he sees fit. 

48 Hour Cancellation Policy


We understand that due to your busy schedule you may have to cancel or change an appointment with Stephen.

In order to respect the time of both other booked clients and Stephen William Hair, we simply ask that you notify us of a cancellation or rescheduling at least 48 hours prior to the appointment.

If an appointment is rescheduled in under 48 hours then half the service fee will apply. If an appointment is rescheduled in under 24 hours, the entire service fee is applicable.

This is so that we may have ample time to fill the appointment time should you need to cancel your service.

No Show or Lateness

In order to respect the time of your stylists, if an appointment is no showed you will be subject to the full fee of the service and rebooked on a last minute only basis, and/or at a time specified by Stephen William Hair. This is regardless of the reason, even if it is an emergency. Please be advised if you NO Show on a Re-Do Reservation we will not be able to schedule a new reservation.
 
Please be courteous to your srylist and other clients. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment we may have to reschedule your appointment.

Hair Extensions

1. Consultation:
- Prior to scheduling the hair extension service, a consultation will be conducted by Stephen William Hair to assess the suitability of the client's hair for the desired extensions.
- During the consultation, the client's hair type, condition, and desired outcome will be discussed.

2. Extension Types:
- Stephen William Hair offers a variety of hair extension methods such as nano and weave.
- The client will be informed about the different extension types available and their respective pros and cons.

3. Hair Quality:
- Stephen William Hair guarantees the use of high-quality, ethically sourced human hair extensions.
- The client will be provided with information regarding the origin and quality of the hair extensions used.

4. Application Process:
- The application of hair extensions will be performed by trained and experienced stylists at Stephen William Hair.
- The client will be informed about the duration of the application process and any necessary aftercare instructions.

5. Maintenance:
- Proper maintenance and care are essential for the longevity of hair extensions.
- The client will be provided with instructions on how to wash, style, and care for the extensions to prevent damage.

6. Removal:
- When the client wishes to remove the hair extensions, it is recommended to schedule a professional removal appointment at Stephen William Hair.
- Attempting to remove the extensions at home may cause damage to the client's natural hair.

7. Warranty:
- Stephen William Hair may offer a limited warranty on the hair extensions, which does not cover any manufacturing defects.
- The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper care or handling of the extensions.

8. Allergic Reactions:
- In rare cases, clients may experience allergic reactions to the hair extension materials.
- The client is responsible for informing Stephen William Hair of any allergies or sensitivities before the application.

9. Results:
- The outcome of the hair extension service may vary depending on the client's natural hair condition and texture.
- Stephen William Hair will strive to achieve the desired look but cannot guarantee exact results.

10. Refunds and Exchanges:
- Due to the nature of the service and the customization involved, refunds or exchanges on hair extension services are generally not provided.
- Any concerns or issues with the extensions should be communicated to Stephen William Hair within a reasonable timeframe.
- Stephen William Hair will endeavor to assist by contacting the brand on the client’s behalf if a 'dud' batch of extensions is provided. However, Stephen William Hair acts only as an intermediary in the purchasing and liability of the product.
- If the extensions brand relinquishes responsibility, Stephen William Hair will cease any further involvement, and no refunds will be provided on behalf of the extensions brand.

11. Liability:
- Stephen William Hair will not be held responsible for the condition of the extensions if a 'dud' batch is provided, as this may not reveal itself until they are washed.
- When purchasing extensions through Stephen William Hair, the client foregoes their usual statutory rights as they are not the direct customer; Stephen William Hair assumes this role.
- If the client wishes to purchase the extensions themselves, they must indicate this to their stylist at Stephen William Hair, who will provide the exact shade, length, and required details. Any errors with purchasing will be the liability of the client.

12. Consent:
- By undergoing the hair extension service with Stephen William Hair, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions outlined.

Please note that these terms and conditions are specific to Stephen William Hair and may vary depending on the salon or hair extension provider. It is recommended to review and discuss the terms and conditions with Stephen William Hair before proceeding with the service.

Children

Prices will be specified for children under the age of 10, please discuss this with Stephen William Hair. Children over the age of 10 are charged for full price services.

Stephen William Hair is a family-friendly brand, however, all children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. If a Child under the age of 18 is receiving a service, a consent form must be signed prior to the service is performed. Colour cannot legally be applied to clients under the age of 16.

Model Waiver

Where I have been asked to sign a model waiver, this constitutes the following; I hereby grant permission to the hairdresser, Stephen William Hair, to use photographs of my hair for promotional and marketing purposes, including but not limited to, the hairdresser's website, social media accounts, printed materials, and advertisements.

I understand and agree to the following terms:

1. Ownership: I acknowledge that the hairdresser shall own all rights, title, and interest in the photographs, including any copyrights or other intellectual property rights associated with the photographs.

2. Use of Photographs: I consent to the hairdresser using the photographs in any manner deemed appropriate for promotional and marketing purposes. This may include, but is not limited to, showcasing hair transformations, sharing hair styling techniques, and demonstrating the hairdresser's skills.

3. Confidentiality: I understand that the hairdresser will exercise reasonable efforts to protect my personal information and will not disclose any sensitive or personally identifiable information in relation to the photographs.

4. Release and Waiver: I release and discharge the hairdresser, its agents, representatives, and employees from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action that may arise out of or in connection with the use of the photographs, including any claims for defamation, invasion of privacy, or infringement of rights.

5. Compensation: I understand that no compensation, financial or otherwise, will be provided to me for the use of the photographs.

6. Duration of Consent: This consent shall remain in effect until such time as I provide written notice to the hairdresser revoking my consent.

By signing or filling in the relevant online form, I acknowledge that I have read and understood the terms of this Model Waiver Form and voluntarily grant my consent for the hairdresser to use photographs of my hair for promotional and marketing purposes.

Reservations

You may request a reservation by calling Stephen William Hair, messaging on social media, email OR via our website - please choose one platform when communicating.

Appointments are also not confirmed until a deposit is paid and this slot remains available for another client to take until secured with a deposit.

Online Scheduling

Your request is not approved until you have paid a deposit for your hair service.

Skin test/patch test

New clients or clients who have not had hair colour in three months or longer require a skin test 48 hours prior to colour appointment. Also clients who suspect they have/had Covid-19, clients who are pregnant but out of their first trimester, if we change your dye (and many other circumstances). Please be aware that services will not occur if patch tests are not completed and more importantly if you are dishonest about conducting a patch test sent to your home and later disclose this, insurance will be void.

Head Lice

It is against Stephen William Hair policy to perform services on clients with head lice. If a client has been diagnosed with head lice while receiving a service in the salon we would not be able to complete the service the same day. We would be able to complete the service within 48 hours once the head lice treatment has been completed.
